PROPOSED RECOMMENDATION

To discontinue the procurement procedure for provision of a Youth Justice Case Management and Reporting Solution

BACKGROUND TO SUPPORT THE RECOMMENDATION

The Council has reviewed the specification and has identified that there are requirements missing from the specification which are essential in order to meet the needs of the Council.

For the purposes of this decision, ‘discontinuing’ the procurement is legally entitled ‘abandonment of a procurement’ and is considered to be one and the same.

LEGAL AND GOVERNANCE COMPLIANCE

A competitive procurement exercise was undertaken by the Council’s Procurement and Contract Management Service via a call-off under the CCS Framework RM6259 Vertical Application Solutions (Lot 2). Due to the reasons outlined above, the proposal is to discontinue this procurement, amend the specification and complete a further procurement exercise with the amended specification.

RECOMMENDATION

That the procurement exercise be discontinued.
